What an incredible weekend!! On Saturday night, with friends from out of town, we ate dinner on my back porch!! March 17th and we're eating outside!!!It was very hard for me to come inside tonight to become a teacher...but here I am!!! Our story for the week is a folk tale, Fly, Eagle, Fly. We will, again, work on the Cause and Effect strategy for comprehension. Our Spelling words (or word analysis)follow the pattern VCCCV. Fractions will be our focus in Math and we will continue with force/work/machines in Science.
Until next week!

Listening, Learning and Laughing in Room 202
What a beautiful Sunday! I've enjoyed shopping, working outside and walking my dog Butler. It's tough to come inside and think about school! Yes, teachers like the weekends, too!! Our Reading Street story is another biography called "America's Champion Swimmer: Gertrude Ederle." Last week the students were unable to work on their Biography reports due to firemen visits and working on examples of Reading OAA. I've schedule time to work on the reports this week. Spelling words concentrate on the suffixes -er,
-or, -ess, -ist. We will work on Math OAA and continue with fractions. Enjoy the rest of the day!! Until next week.
